HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:

In the 1990s Guy Thompson produced a custom design for the current owner and builder of AMY ROSE a time served shipwright. She was completed and launched in September 1998 and shortly after sailed to the South of France, where she has been based since. After some years sailing in the Med. she was re-fitted in 2008 and has been laid-up afloat since. AMY ROSE now requires re-commissioning and some re-fitting, we understand from the owners some deck repairs are necessary due to the ingress of fresh-water to the marine-ply subdeck.

Iroko strip plank construction on laminated iroko frames using Cascophen PRF Resin. Teak laid deck over marine-ply, mostly re-caulked in 2008. Varnished teak superstructure and cockpit. Varnished topsides and transom. Hull stripped back in 2008 and re-varnished.

Fin and skeg hull design having a 7-ton lead keel. Raised poop deck offering excellent space for sail changing, entertaining and relaxing in the sun. Cavernous interior offering six separate cabins in total with grand aft state-room. Subject to the usual regulations AMY ROSE would make a good charter boat or ideal for long-distance cruising with family and friends.
