HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:

The Everyman Motor-Cruiser was a standard vessel built by A R C Marine of Littlehampton from the late 1940's until the late 50's. An estimate forty Everyman's were built during that period with a good number surviving to this day. In January 1947 the first proto-type Everyman was put through its paces, as featured in The Motor-Boat Magazine of that month.

Carvel pine planked hull copper fastened to steam bent oak timbers. Marine grade ply and hardwood superstucture. Decks, coach / wheel shelter roofs fibre-glass sheathed.  Transom stern, round bilges, long keel with bilge runners.

Eaux des Illes has been extensively refitted in recent years for use on the Brittany Canals and can navigate through to the Bay of Biscay with ease.  The vessel has also cruised the River Seine from Le Havre to Paris.

Accommodation for five in two cabins.

Heads compartment with Jabsco marine wc, new 2010. Access to chain locker, fore-hatch.

Wash-basin, H&C, to port. Hanging locker to starboard.

Stateroom with two berths to port and one to starboard having drawers below.

Saloon with dinette to port converting to double berth, 6ft x 4ft.

Starboard full length galley. Plastimo two burner gas cooker with oven and grill. Extractor fan over. Stainless steel sink unit H&C, draining board. Aqua filter on cold supply. Drawers and crockery lockers. Pilot 2 station gas alarm.

35hp Perkins 4108 (m) diesel engine with Hurth MBW 100 gearbox, new in 2012. Auqadrive flexible coupling. Engine hours about 1,800. Regularly serviced and professionally maintained. 4 litres fuel consumption per hour. Cruising speed about 6-7 knots.

Wheelshelter with full canopy, aft cock-pit with upholstered seating, stern lazarette.

BROKERS NOTE:

A particularly fine example of this popular design of motor-cruiser, equally at home on rivers or estuaries and for short coastal passage making. Eaux des Iles has been the subject of an extensive restoration and refit program with the intention of extended cruising this summer through the French Waterways.  A great opportunity to continue the intended trip with the vessel already prepared, just add fuel and provisions!
