Construction & Description: 'Kathryn & Mae' was built to the Miller Fifer type design in 1963 by James Noble Ltd. The Fifers are based on a traditional Scottish MFV style and are rugged, capable fifty / fifty motor-sailers. At 28’6” length on deck, the Kathryn & Mae is one of the smaller Fifers but still offering good accommodation below decks with standing headroom in two separate cabins. The hull is constructed in the MFV style being carvel Larch planked on substantial grown Oak frames. The laid decks are Iroko on a marine-ply sub deck. Mahogany superstructure and bright work. Accommodation: Comfortable accommodation with varnished joinery and cream paintwork. Saloon: Port and Starboard settee berths (double and single) with leeboards. Skylight and portholes.
