The highly successful Trapper 500 is a design collaboration of George Cuthbertson and George Cassian, later known as C & C Yachts. In 1970 Anstey Yachts Ltd and the well known Deacon Boatyard in Poole amalgamated to become Trapper Yachts, producing a range of production boats of various sizes. The Trapper 500 was introduced in 1977 and over a ten year period, 600 examples were produced at the Poole boatyard.
