HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:

A Colin Archer type cruising yacht built in the UK in 1980 of cold moulded triple planked Agba.  From new cascover sheathed hull to the deadwood with one and a quarter inch teak laid decks and teak superstructure.

Extensively cruised many thousands of miles in current twenty-eight year ownership, including two years in Cadiz, three years in Bodrum, cruising the Black Sea, Greece and Turkey.  Three years based in Copenhagen cruising Sweden through the Gota Canal, Stockholm, Olaf Islands and Finland.  Oslo and up the west coast to Norway, Bergan and beyond.  Germany, Holland, Belgium and the Friesian Islands.  Finally six years in Carentan, France and a circumnavigation of Ireland.

Returned to the UK for a twenty year refit over two Winters involving about two thousand hours work which included new fresh water tanks, fuel tank and drawing keel bolts.

Masthead Bermudian cutter rig with fully battened mainsail, genoa, jib, storm mainsail, furling foresail.  Four Knowsley winches, twin mast tracks, twin spinnaker poles.  Jackstays.  Maststeps.

29hp Volvo 2030 diesel engine, shaft driven with fixed three blade propeller.  Four 12 volt batteries charging through engine alternator.  Batterry charger, Navigation and anchor lights.  Cabin lighting.

Aries self steering gear, Autohelm, Depth Sounder, Compass, Navtex, Raytheon R10x Radar, MLR FX312 GPS, Husun 60 VHF, Icom SSB receiver. Pioneer multiple CD / Radio.

Five berths in two cabins.

Forecabin with Vee berths.

Heads compartment with Baby Blake wc with flexible holding tank. Wash basin and shower.

Saloon with Taylors cabin heater, three berths, removable chart table, generous stowage.

Galley with Force 10 Marine cooker with hob, oven and grill.  Sink unit and fridge.

Aft cockpit with tiller steering.

Inventory: Two CQR anchors with chain and warp, Fisherman’s type anchor with chain and warp, anchor windlass, vented gas locker, chains and springs, warps and fenders, horseshoe lifebuoy, life sling, liferaft, radar reflector.

BROKERS NOTE:

A relatively new, yet traditional and substantially built cruising yacht, in long ownership with many thousands of sea miles under her keel.  Ideal for short-handed sailing.  Last surveyed May 2010.
