HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:

The Donnelly family established the Dawn Boat & Ship Corp in 1906 in the South Bronx. They specialised in traditional motor cruisers and navy craft with a number of resident designers. The yard was sold in 1948 and became Wheeler Yachts which was unfortunately destroyed by fire in 1963. A good number of Dawn Cruisers have survived in to the twenty-first century and epitomise the Deco style of the period.

Petrel is such an example, a graceful, well appointed classic of the 30’s offered in excellent condition whilst retaining the original layout, furnishings and fittings.
