HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:
In 1932 Dr. Harrison Butler (THB) updated one of his earlier designs, the successful Cyclone 11, describing it as ‘a sports model’ with a metacentrically balance hull. In 1935 Mischief 111 was built to the Yonne design by Clemens of Portsmouth who built several THB designed yachts including the original Yonne.
Mischief 111 spent most of her early sailing life on the South Coast with a succession of Civil Servant owners. She was laid-up in the late 1970’s for a winter re-fit, however the death of her then owner resulted in twenty-eight years in a Devon garden. The present owner acquired Mischief 111 in 2007 and began a thorough keel-up restoration taking over five years to complete. In 2012 Mischief 111 was put forward for the Classic Boat restoration award and won her class. Voted top 100 Classics 2013. Featured Classic Boat magazine September 2011.
