LINDOWAN – History & Construction:

During the early 1960s Aberdour Marine Services Ltd. produced a small series of motor-sailers in the MFV style similar to the Miller Fifer 33 to a design by G Finlayson. LINDOWAN was built in 1962 for the Stewart family of Edinburgh and moored at Clynder on the Western shores of the Gare Loch. During the late 1960s, Mr & Mrs J A Jackson became the next registered owners keeping LINDOWAN at Oban. In the mid-1970s Cyril Andrews of Fareham acquired the vessel moving her South to Chichester Harbour. During the 1980s she was in the ownership of K R Barton of Southampton and moored at Hamble. The current owner, of some twenty-eight years, has kept LINDOWAN at Port Solent, mainly sailing on the South-Coast. Aberdour Marine is probably best known for the Victory 40 Class and Norseman Motor-Yachts. Later for fitting-out the Colvic Victor motor-sailers.

Recent haul out and re-paint (Summer 2019) and general cosmetic update.

Raked straight stem, full round bilge, long ballast keel and canoe stern.
