MARTA – HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:
Mälar 30 – a carefully sailed classic Skerry Cruiser professionally renovated in 2006 with GRP moulded hull and decks and with inboard sail-drive.
A classic boat well maintained and in very nice condition. Carefully used and sailed the last ten years. Thorough renovation 2006 of the interior as well as the cockpit and deck at Zarins boatyard including the installation of an inboard engine (Yamaha 15hp) with a sail-drive – which is very rare for this style of boat. The renovation cost more than 25.000 euros (documentation and receipts available). New main, jib and genoa sails in 2007. The jib and genoa are suited for furling gear.
This Mälar 30 is the second built with a moulded hull and deck. Märta is No.102 and the first Mälar 30 was built in 1933! All the wooden details originally built by the well-known Neglinge boatyard. Yearly a Swedish championship take place for Mälar 30.
There are always many compliments about the boat – in the harbour and at sea; “the most beautiful boat in Karlshamn”, “stop sailing so fast”, etc. Märta is even included in a promotion film for Karlshamn’s archipelago.
Completely equipped for sailing incl. furling, Boomkicker, portable GPS plotter (Garmin), portable galley, portable chemical WC, foldable cockpit table, cockpit tent, etc.
New robust cradle (Tyresövaggan) and cover rack (Press & Son) adapted for the boat, available as an option. The cradle can also be used for transportation on a truck.
Mälar 30 has four berths, the mattress and textile new 2006.
Possible delivery from May 2019. Located in southern part of Sweden – access to a mooring located in Karlshamn during the beginning of summer to start sailing in the beautiful archipelago of Blekinge.
