The Riva Olympic is now firmly established as a classic of its time, a design icon and the last of the wooden boats built by Cantieri Riva.  The Olympic was introduced in 1969, named after the Mexico Olympics of that year, to replace the Riva Super Florida, the design concept being similar to the Riva Junior aimed at the multi-purpose market.  Production ceased in 1983 with only 274 boats built ensuring the Olympic would become a coveted collectors item in the future.  The design is strong and robust with the attractive profile and finish long associated with the Riva marque.

‘Rima’ was bought by the present owner in 1977 and has since been maintained in immaculate order.  Three years ago the Riva was cosmetically refurbished and the engine re-built by Stelco Yacht Technik of Lutterworth.

220hp Chevrolet V8 Petrol Engine. Only 12 hours since re-build.

Four wheeled road trailer.

Part 111 registration, number 145670.  Hull Identification Number, to be advised.

Brokers Note:

The opportunity to buy a one owner Riva Olympic in the UK must be extremely rare.  Offered for sale in excellent order with only 12 hours use since a complete professional overhaul in 2007.
