HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:

A 1988 Tioga 57 built to the original 1931 design by the famous naval architect Lewis Frances Herreschoff (1890 -1972)
This beautiful sailing yacht is of impeccable pedigree, and an icon of yachting.

Tioga , designed in 1931 by L. Francis Herreshoff, arguably America’s most famous and respected naval architect, remains a timeless classic. She is one of the most famous designs of L. Francis Herreshoff an independant designer of over 486 vessels including America’s Cup contenders and the J Class, Whirlwind .

Tioga is a well prove cruising yacht and very successful in the classic regattas, easy to handle for two people and also nice and easy to sail just for a day cruise.

In 2005/2006 Tioga was completely re-fitted at the well known Bbs Shipyard in northern Germany.  With a brand new engine, bathroom, electrical installation, interior, new upholstery and a new paint finish of the whole yacht and rig.

Following the re-fit Tioga was sailed over 8000 miles in Scandinavian waters and through the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. There she is an eye catcher at St. Tropez and the other top Mediterranean venues and raced successfully in the classic events. She is measured as a true traditional sailing yacht for racing.

Tioga is in perfect condition and professionally maintained with love to her history.
She is ready to race as well as for long distance cruising.
